What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding
First edition. A collection of poetry from D. H. Lawrence; No. 11 of the Criterion Miscellany. Published in 1930, just eleven days after his death, this is Lawrence's last work and contains a series of bitter, nettling but often wry attacks on the moral climate of England. With titles such as: 'Songs I Learnt at School', 'Innocent England', and 'Leaves of Grass, Flowers of Grass', among others. Written by David Herbert Lawrence, an English novelist, short story writer, poet, playwright, literary critic, travel writer, essayist, and painter. Noted for his modernist works which reflect on modernity, social alienation and industrialisation, while championing sexuality, vitality and instinct.
