The exploits of Ruy Freyre de Andrada, a Portuguese soldier, in the year 1619 when he left Portugal as General of the Sea of Ormuz and set off for the Persian Gulf region. Edited by Sir Charles Ralph Boxer, a British historian of Dutch and Portuguese maritime and colonial history, especially in relation to South Asia and the Far East.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and the odd mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.
