The book is split into five parts. Contents include With King Hussein in the Hijaz, With the Idrisi in Asir, All Sabah, the Skeikhs of Kuwait, Aal Khalifah, the Sheikhs of Bahrain, and Adan and the Protectorates.
Ameen Rihani was a Lebanese American writer and activist. He was a supporter and theorist of Arab nationalism and an important foundation of the Mahjar literary movement of the early twentieth century in America.
Prior owner's ink inscription to the first free endpaper stating the author's death in 1940. No dust wrapper present.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The spine is slightly discoloured. There is some slight wear to the spine where the hinges are starting. Prior owner's ink inscription to the first free endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
