Flat signed by the author, Edith Sitwell, to the limitation page. 

This is a comprehensive critical study, in which Sitwell his poetic achievement against the Romantic dismissal of his formal precision.

Edith Sitwell (1887–1964) was a leading English poet and critic, known for her avant-garde style and for championing neglected figures in English literature.

In the publisher's cloth. Externally, smart. Slight offsetting to endpapers with the odd slight spot. The odd slight handling mark to boards. Slight rubbing to boards and extremities. Slipcase, sound. Rubbing and bumping to extremities resulting in slight loss to paper. Slight rubbing to boards. Slight cracking to extremities, with tape repairs. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Offsetting to limitation page. Author's flat signing to limitation page.
