    Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Signed, With Dustwrapper

    Inscribed by the author 'Wilfred Grenfell, Labrador, Oct. 1930' to the front free endpaper, alongside an illustration of a schooner approaching an iceberg.

    In the publisher's original price clipped dust wrapper.

    First published in 1920, in this work Wilfred Grenfell offers an account of his years spent as a medical missionary in Newfoundland and Labrador.

    Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece, and three plates.

    Collated, complete.

    With a former owner's inscription to the front pastedown. 

    This is the revised popular edition of Grenfell's work.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth binding, with clipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with a touch of fading to front board. Inscriptions to front pastedown and front free endpaper. Illustration to front free endpaper. Dust wrapper back strip significantly age toned, with wraps lightly age toned. Losses of paper to dust wrapper back strip head and tail, with light edgewear to wrap heads. Closed tears to head and tail of fold over front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Significant spotting to title page. Pages bright, with instances of light spotting to page perimeters.
