Written by English novelist William Makepeace Thackeray (1811-1863). Most renowned for this work which satirises life in early 19th century Britain, Thackeray was primarily known for his satires and parodies, criticising high society and the fickle aspirations of its members, such as profitability, marriage and power.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth backed paper covered boards. Externally, fine. Dust wrapper back strip lightly age toned, with minor losses of paper to back strip head and tail, and the odd minor chip to head and tail of front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
