Benjamin Hall Kennedy's "Revised Latin Primer" has been widely used since its first publication in the nineteenth century. It offers a comprehensive introduction to Latin grammar and syntax, and has been praised for its clear explanations, systematic approach, and lasting influence on classical education.

Aldiss would have been one of many student in his period to use the work in their Latin studies.

Loosely inserted is a provenance notice signed by the executor of Aldiss's estate, his daughter Wendy.
