An edition limited to one thousand and fifty copies for sale in the United Kingdom, and five hundred in the United States. This volume being number one thousand three hundred and forty-nine. An anthology made of twenty one Latin poems, translated into English, with Latin and English text printed side by side. A lovely work including an introduction and works by Catullus, Virgil, and Seneca among others. Produced by Sir George Rostrevor Hamilton, an English poet and critic who worked as a civil servant and Special Commissioner. With original marbled slipcase.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities and light fading to the spine. Original marbled slipcase is smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light sunning with the odd small mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light age toning to the endpapers.
