The first edition, first impression with no further impressions stated. The first trade edition, published earlier the same year in a limited edition of 275 copies. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. A charming romance set in the English countryside, in which seven young men compete for the affection of a beautiful young girl. Written by John Masefield, Poet Laureate and prolific novelist.
Condition
In the original blue cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally in lovely condition. Dust wrapper is very smart with small closed tear to head of the spine. Slight shelf wear to the extremities, slightly more prominent to the head and tail of the spine. Slight fading to the spine. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with scattered spotting to the fore edge.
