What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

This abridged edition 'Retold for Little People' by British writer and poet, May Byron.

In the publisher's original cloth binding.

Undated, dated from a copy held at the British Library.

Featuring the widely known character Peter Pan created by Barrie, this novel follows him as an infant when he escapes home to return to Kensington Gardens. The text largely takes from chapters used in Barrie's earlier novel 'The Little White Bird', which was published as a work for adult readers.

This copy is collated and complete with Arthur Rackham's striking illustrations, including six colour plates and fifteen further black-and-white drawings in-text and full-page.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with fading to the cloth and shelf wear. Internally, firmly bound. Other than minor offsetting to the endpapers and a neat contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper, pages are bright and clean.
