'Hudson River Bracketed' follows a naive young writer, Vance Weston, as he convulses by the Hudson River. Here he meets beautiful Halo Spear, and becomes inspired by her passion for literature. They meet years later while Halo is with her rich and cultivated husband, and introduces Vance to New York's literary society.
By Edith Wharton, one of the most eminent American writers of all time. She is known for her insider perceptions of upper-class society in New York. In 1921 she became the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for 'The Age of Innocence'.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few light marks to the cloth. Rear hinge is starting but firm. Author's inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned and clean.
