In the very scarce unclipped dust wrapper.

This is a comprehensive domestic guide aimed at teaching practical cookery through an alphabetical format. Covering everything from basic techniques to recipes and household management tips.

With the bookplate of Martin and Pamela Finch to the verso of the  front free endpaper. They were antiquarian booksellers with an interest in antiquarian gastronomy.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Bookplate to verso of front free endpaper. Significant handling marks to rear wrap of dust wrapper, with light handling marks to front wrap perimeters and back strip head and tail. Small losses to back strip head. Reinforced with tape to dust wrapper reverse at back strip head and tail, and head and tail of flyleaf folds. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with instances of light spotting to page perimeters.
