A very scarce copy. In a full cloth binding. A fascinating collection of the twelve issues of the Eynsham Parish Magazine, titled 'The Torch', during the year 1929. With photographs, local stories and articles relating to the Episcopal church of St Leonards. Interlaced with local and regional advertisements and the official event calendars of the church. Previous owner's ink inscription to the front paste-down.
Condition
In full cloth binding. Externally, smart with shelf wear to the edges and spine. Fading to the edges and spine. Ink inscription to the front paste-down. The rear hinge is slightly strained. Spotting and age-toning to the paste-downs and free endpapers. Marks to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with age-toning to the edges. Parts of the first page of the January issue have been cut out.
