The Unknown War: The Eastern Front, 1932. Illustrated with a frontispiece, seven plates, ten maps, one of which is folding, and numerous in-text images. Collated complete. Exploring the conflict between Russia and the two Teutonic empires and the agonies of Central Europe, arising in Vienna. From Bosnia and the murder of the Archduke to the ruin of all three houses: Romanov, Habsburg and Hohenzollern. With reference to Russia's withdrawal from the war in 1917.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spines with the odd small mark to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with minor age toning to the extremities. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.
