A charming collection of the prose and verse of Aubrey Beardsley, an English illustrator and author regarded as a leading figure in the Aesthetic movement.

Includes his unfinished erotic novel 'Under the Hill' as well as 'The Three Musicians', 'The Ballad of a Barber', 'Translation of Catullus: Carmen Ci', 'Table Talk of Aubrey Beardsley' and 'Two Letters of Aubrey Beardsley'. 

Illustrated with a frontispiece, fourteen tissue-guarded plates and two in-text drawings. Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, with fading to the spine and with damp stains to the boards. Mild shelf wear. Dust wrapper is sunned to the spine and chipping to the head. With a few small marks to the front panel. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright, with offsetting to the endpapers and scattered spotting, heaviest to the first and last few pages.
