Written by American fantasy author, James Branch Cabell. Cabell sets many of his works in the fictional medieval realm of Poictesme. This work explores sin and spirituality, following the corrupt character of Odo's journey to sainthood. "The White Robe" was later published alongside similar titles "The Music Behind the Moon" and "The Way of Ecben" in the 1948 collection The Witch-Woman.
Condition
In quarter calf with wood-effect boards. Externally, smart with slight bumping and rubbing resulting in minor loss of cloth, especially to bottom edge. Internally, firmly bound. Only faint spotting to first and last pages, otherwise very bright and clean throughout.
