Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

John Bunyan's most important work originally written in 1678; since then, the book has been translated into more than two hundred languages and has never run out of print. Facsimile edition from one of the four first edition copies in the King's library of the British Museum. 

A Christian allegory that is regarded as one of the most significant works of religious and theological fiction in English literature. In two parts, each reading as a continuous narrative with no chapter division.

Complete with the scarce glassine dust wrapper with titles in red to front wrap.

Condition

In the original publisher's binding over paper covered boards. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine, back strip darkened. Glassine wrap unclipped with some shelf wear, chipping and minor loss to head of spine and wraps. Previous owner's gift inscription to front free endpaper dated 1944. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Numerous unopened leaves to top edge, including title page.
