Early edition, originally published 1927. Illustrated throughout. A charming book on dogs, with chapters on how to get a dog, how to train your dog, dog tales, bad habits of dogs, show dogs and dog shows, dog clubs or kennel clubs, and more. Written and illustrated by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin, a British artist and illustrator best known for his paintings and sketches of animals, sports, and rural life.

Condition

In the original full red cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd mark to the boards. A split in the cloth to the head of the spine resulting in light fraying. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot and light age toning to the endpapers.
