With a coloured frontispiece, and 55 further full page plates of stunning illustrations of London by American draftsman, etcher, lithographer, and illustrator Joseph Pennell.

Pennell was a prolific artist, spending most of his working life in Europe and developing an interest in landmarks, landscapes, and industrial scenes around he world.

With and introduction and notes by J.C. Squire.

Condition

In publisher's original cloth binding. In the original price clipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. Minor shelf wear to extremities, most significant to the head and tail of the spine. Offsetting to end papers. Dust wrapper is smart. Sunning to spine, with light chipping at the head and tail. Small closed tear to tail of spine and along edges of boards. Loss and mark to front board of wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
