When We Were Very Young was first published in 1924. Several of the verses were set to music by Harold Fraser-Simson. The book begins with an introduction entitled 'Just Before We Begin', which, in part, tells readers to imagine for themselves who the narrator is, and that it might be Christopher Robin.
Condition
In the publisher’s original cloth with pictorial gilt to both boards. Externally, excellent with light shelf wear to the extremities. Minor bumping to spine head and tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright with light spotting only to first and last few leaves. Contemporary ink inscription from 1928 to front free end paper.
