In the original decorative marble cloth. 

With five plates by Jacquier, engraved in copper by C. Sigrist and in watercolour by The Curwen Press. Collated, complete. 

A lovely Nonesuch Press edition of this notable work by James Thomson, originally published between 1726 and 1730.  The Nonesuch Press was a prolific private press, producing 140 beautifully printed editions of poetry and literature. 

A charming copy of this classic poem. 

Condition

In the original publisher's marble cloth binding. Externally in lovely condition. Minor fading to spine. Spotting to endpapers. Slight offsetting to free endpapers. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean, with the odd spot, heavier to the fore edge and first and last few leaves.
