Illustrated with eighty-five monochrome reproductions of the original prints. Collated complete.
This work features a collection of etchings by the Spanish printer Francisco Goya, with an introduction by Elie Faure. These impactful etchings were originally created by Goya between 1910 and 1820, and were not published until after his death. The works depict the horrors and violent acts that were committed during the 1808 Dos de Mayo uprising in Spain.

Externally smart with fading to the spine and extremities, slight rubbing to the title label, damp staining to the extremities and the odd slight mark. Slight age toning to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with age toned and generally clean pages with only the odd minor handling mark.
