A detailed essay, full of imagery, on the Carnegie Steel Company mills in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and their development from the construction of his first steel mill, the Edgar Thomson Steel Works, in 1872. With commentary of their impact on the landscape and their management by the creator of the company Andrew Carnegie. Written by Theodore Herman Albert Dreiser, an American novelist and journalist of the naturalist school. Illustrated by Martha Colley, an American artist and illustrator. Dated from the National Library of Scotland.
Condition
In the original quarter cloth binding. Externally, smart with minor rubbing to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd mark to the boards. Light marks to the label on the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with tide marks to the extremities.
