Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Uncommon, With Dustwrapper
The first edition of this uncommon work in the publisher's original cloth binding with pictorial gilt to the spine and front board, with the original and very scarce unclipped dust wrapper. Illustrated with eight colour plates and numerous in-text illustrations. Collated, complete. A colourfully illustrated anthology of nine short fantasy stories for children by M. A. Peart, who also illustrated the volume. A delightful volume filled with tales of princesses, talking cats and centaurs.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is very smart and bright, with minor bumping to the upper extremities and a faint mark to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are mostly bright with the odd spot throughout and some offsetting to the end papers. Dust wrapper remains bright but is chipped to the head and tail of the spine, with a couple of small closed tears to the extremities, and a faint ink inscription to the front of the wrap.
