This volume presents an impressive exploration into the works of French cabinet makers during the eighteenth century, with examples faithfully depicted through plates.

Illustrated with a frontispiece, and sixty-five plates. Collated, complete.

By François de Salverte, who, in 1929, gifted a copy of this work to the Queen Consort Mary of Teck.

Original wraps are bound in.

Condition

In a half crushed morocco binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with some marks. Spine is faded. Light rubbing to the extremities, particularly to the rear board. Hinges are strained. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Original front wrap and endpaper are detached but present, as is the dedication leaf.
