This copy is lacking the signed original Aldin Sketch that it was issued with, and is also lacking the limitation page.

Aldin's tale chronicles the lives of Micky and Cracker, an Irish wolfhound and a bull terrier, and provides a practical guide for young dog owners, with tips on training, dealing with bad habits, feeding, and more.

Illustrated with two full colour plates, and seventy-seven vignette and full page illustrations by Aldin. Collated, complete.

A lovely work from the British artist and illustrator best known for his paintings and sketches of animals, sports, and rural life. A devoted dog-lover, many of his works pay tribute to canine friends.

Condition

In the publisher's original quarter vellum binding, with paper covered boards. Externally, bright. Bump to spine head. Head and fore edge of front board age toned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with spotting throughout the work.
