First edition. Scarce work. Illustrated with six plates. Collated complete. A detailed record of the medieval manuscript volume or roll containing transcriptions of original documents relating to the foundation, privileges, and legal rights of Winchester Cathedral. Being a record of these collections of original documents for Winchester Cathedral, built from 1079 to 1532, and among the largest of its kind in Northern Europe. Edited by A. W. Goodman, a British antiquarian.

Condition

In the original full blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. The odd pencil annotation. Light spotting and minor age toning to the endpapers with a contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper.
