What Our Customers Say...
Description
Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
From the texts of Professor Herbert Wright.
Including a wide range of printed ballads from Scandinavia, Denmark, Wales, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Russia, Persia, Turkey, and more.
This selection was edited by R. Brimley Johnson, a biographer, critic, and editor specializing in nineteenth century English literature and literary figures. It was translated by George Borrow, an English writer of novels and of travel based on personal experiences in Europe. His travels gave him a close affinity with the Romani people of Europe, who figure strongly in his work.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with just some light bumping to head and tail of spine, and a small tear to the cloth on the front joint. Dust wrapper has some shelf wear and some loss to the front crease to the flyleaf and the front joint. Significant loss to the bottom of the rear wrap due to tearing. Internally, generally firmly bound. Small ink notation to the front free-endpaper, and the odd spot throughout, but otherwise pages are bright and clean.
