This charming tale follows a wandering prince and his faithful friend, a swallow, as they meet various magical characters in mystic lands.

Written by H. E. Bates, known for works including 'The Darling Buds of May' and 'My Uncle Silas'. 

The story was written whilst Bates worked at a bookshop in London, presenting it by way of an apology to the owner for his tardiness and low sales.

Condition

In the original paper covered boards. Externally, with scattered spots to the extremities and sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright, with occasional scattered spots, heaviest to the endpapers..
