The English translation for this particular play was provided by Alfred Hayes, with a preface by C. Nabokoff.
'The Death of Ivan the Terrible' is comprised of a historical drama performed entirely in verse, featuring Ivan IV of Russia, who was known as Ivan the Terrible due to his shocking and terrible acts. This volume was the second in a trilogy of plays, all three of which were initially censored.

In the publisher's original cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, generally smart, with staining to the spine and surrounding area. Light bumping to the extremities. Light spotting to endpapers. Dust wrapper is very good, with light edge wear, the odd tear or chip, mainly to the head of the spine. Light spotting to the fly leaves, with the odd mark, mainly to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
