With a frontispiece, 23 monochrome plates and a folding map depicting the national old trail road. Collated complete. 

In the publisher's original cloth. 

This autobiographical work was written by Gertrude E Metcalfe-Shaw with a foreword by her sister. The work provides a first hand account of Metcalfe-Shaw's experiences while caravanning through the wild west using the national old pioneers trail.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Lacking dust wrapper. Externally very smart with only slight cockling to the boards, very slight fading to the spine and slight bumping. Light spotting to the endpapers with prize label to the front free endpaper from 'St. Peter's School, York'. Internally generally firmly bound with frontispiece weak and bright and generally clean pages with light offsetting to the half title and the odd spot. Light spotting to the fore edge.
