What Our Customers Say...

Description

Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The third impression of the cheap edition.

In the publisher's original cloth, with the original unclipped, very scarce early dust wrapper, featuring the same illustration as the vanishingly scarce first edition dust wrapper.

A gripping crime novel by Sax Rohmer, the pen-name of Arthur Henry Ward, who is best known for his series of novels which feature the master criminal Fu Manchu. The work was inspired by the story of Billie Carleton, an actress who dies of a drug overdose, and follows the chief inspector Red Kerry as he enters the world of drugs in London.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. The wrap is generally smart with marks, chips and small closed tears to the extremities, the odd spot, and sunning to the spine. Spotting and tape repairs to the verso. Externally lovely. Offsetting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with the odd spot, slightly heavier to the front and rear.
