He was among the most influential composers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and was almost forty years old when he achieved international fame in 1902 with the only opera he completed "Pelleas et Melisande." Written by Leon Vallas, a French musicologist.
Condition
Bound in contemporary half morocco with blue cloth boards. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and minor fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
