With charming vignette wood engravings by Robert Ashwin Maynard and Horace Walter Bray throughout. 

In the publisher's original blue cloth binding with gilt motif to front board. 

Published by The Gregynog Press, an influential Private Press founded in Newtown, Monmouthshire by sisters Margaret and Gwendoline Davies. Based from their manor house Gregynog Hall, the press focused on exceptional limited editions of important works, with this being a charming collection of essays from war poet, Edward Thomas. 

Condition

In the publisher's original blue cloth with gilt motif to front board. Externally, very smart, with the occasional mark to the boards. Fading to spines. Prior owner's coloured pencil notations to front endpapers and label to lower extremity of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with the odd spot, heavier to the first and last few pages.
