The very scarce first edition of British author and barrister Pringle Kennedy's discussion of Arabia in the days of Muhammad.
Kennedy observes in his work that, 'Muhammad was, to use a striking expression, the man of the hour'.
Arranged in eight chapters, including descriptions of the Battle of Marathon, Abu Barks, the Ommayads and the Abbasides.
Kennedy's only other published work is the also very scarce 'A History of the Great Moghuls (Or A History of the Badshahate of Delhi From 1398 AD To 1739)'.

Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail. Light cockling to tail of front board. Fading and tide marks to fore edges of boards. Front hinge strained, but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with the odd light spot.
