Edward Granville Browne (1862-1926) was a British Iranologist, and a prolific author. In this classic travel work, he wrote a sympathetic portrayal of Persian society in his account of his travels through Teheran, Shiraz, Kirman and many other places. This new edition includes a memoir of the author by the orientalist Sir Denison Ross, and an index.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally generally smart, with marks to the boards and fading to the spine. A little bumping to the lower extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for light offsetting to the first and last few pages.
