Five volumes of this very scarce publication are present here, each updating the material presented in the first editions, which were published between the 1870s and early 1900s.

Each of the volumes present here were first revised in 1904, and are here updated to the years 1921-1922.

Volume X-H, on Ratnagiri and Savantwadi
Volume XIX-B, on Satara, Phaltan and Aundh
Volume XX-B, on Sholapur and Akalkot
Volume XXIII-B on Bijapur and Jath

This series served as an encyclopaedic reference on the Bombay Presidency, a significant administrative region of British India which included parts of modern-day Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka, as well as the city of Bombay.

These volumes provide information on history, population, geography, environment, public infrastructure and local expenditure.

With bookplates of the Liverpool Public Libraries to each front and rear pastedown, and further library stamps throughout, including to the title pages. Library blind stamps to rear boards.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth backed paper covered boards. Bumping to back strip heads and tails, with significant handling marks to boards. Library blind stamps to rear boards. Library bookplates to front and rear pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally bright, but with library stamps throughout, including to the title pages.
