Bound in cloth with gilt lettering and fleur de lys decoration to the spine. Complete in Twelve Volumes. Dated from COPAC. Contains four works by Henry Fielding, 'The History of Tom Jones', 'Amelia', 'The Life of Mr. Jonathan Wild', and 'The History of the Adventures of Joseph Andrews'. This is a limited edition by Navarre of only 2000 copies. With frontispiece illustrations by George Cruikshank. With the armorial bookplate of Hubert Riley to several of the front pastedowns. George Edward Bateman Saintsbury, 1845 - 1933, was a literary scholar and historian.
Condition
In publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with slight bumping and sunning to spines. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages generally clean and bright.
