A 1925 edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original scarce and unclipped dust wrapper. Vivian Gilbert's account of his experience with General Allenby on his campaign in the Holy Land, an important part of the First World War. With a preface by Owen Wister. A page of publisher's advertisements to the rear.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth and gilt are faded, with a mark to the spine, but very minimal wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Dust wrapper is torn to the front of the wrap, with a loss to the spine; there are also small marks to the rear and front of the wrap, and a little chipping to the extremities.
