Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was an American poet, known for being one of the 'Fireside Poets' from New England. He wrote many lyrical poems, as well as poems based in mythology and legend. Longfellow was one of the most popular American poets of his time.

Including an ink inscription to the verso of the front free-endpaper, dated Christmas 1926.

Condition

In half calf prize binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart, with fading to the spine and joints. Internally, binding generally firm, though slightly tender to the contents page (page iii) and page 886. Pages are bright and clean.
