F. Beresford Harrop's comprehensive pocket sized guide to Simla.

The author provides a brief historical sketch, alongside useful details on the local hotels, restaurants, schools, churches, and hospitals. Harrop also discusses the local arts, sports, and industries, offering a vivid depiction of Simla.

Simla, also spelt as Shimla, is the capital of Himachal Pradesh in India. 

Illustrated with a frontispiece, one folding map, one folding map to the pocket to the rear, and one plate.

Collated, complete.

Twenty-four pages of adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Marks to the boards, heavier to the head of the spine and front joint, and rear joint, with a small amount of loss. Spine is a little faded. Front hinge is starting but firm. Tape marks to the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
