A posthumously published short story anthology by Joseph Conrad, collecting together four stories; 'The Warrior's Soul', 'Prince Roman', 'The Tale', and 'The Black Mate'.
Conrad was a noted Polish-British writer, known as one of the greatest novels written in the English language.
With a preface by R. B. Cunninghame Graham.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Very light marks to the board. Very minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A couple of bumps to the front board. Spots to the fore edge. Front hinge is starting but firm. Dust wrapper is edge worn with some small chips and closed tears, mostly to the head and tail of the spine, and with a larger chip to the front wrap, affecting the text of the title. Small tide mark to the front wrap. Wraps are a little discoloured with some light marks. Small patch of rubbing to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with scattered spots to the first and last few pages.
