The dairies and daily thoughts of Elisabeth Arrighi Leseur, a French mystic best known for her spiritual diary and the conversion of her husband, Felix, a medical doctor and well-known leader of the French anti-clerical, atheistic movement. The journal explores her spiritual life and disciplined pattern of prayer, meditation, reading, sacramental practice, and writing. Leseur's current status is that of a Servant of God, with the cause for her beatification opened in 1934. Proceeded by a letter from R. P. Janvier.

Condition

Bound in half crushed morocco with marbled boards, with the original paper wraps bound in. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities and light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light age toning to the extremities. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown.
