The first edition.

A very scarce work. 

Illustrated with a frontispiece and one plate, both with amateur but neat hand colouring. 

In the publisher's original quarter cloth with pictorial boards. 

This children's book was written by Ethel Heaton and tells the story of a little girl called Stella who goes to stay with her cousin Ada a little girl from India who is living with her. 

Undated, dated by copies held at the British Library.

Condition

In the publisher's original quarter cloth with pictorial boards. Externally generally smart with rubbing and bumping to the extremities and marks to the boards. Offsetting to the free endpapers. Internally firmly bound with age toned pages with light spotting to the front and the odd spot throughout.
