Being both an impression and a memento of the British Empire Exhibition of 1924, created from Maxwells quick sketches in pencil, chalk, pen and ink, wash, oil, and water colour, as he walked the course of the exhibition. With images arranged in sections entitled: In Africa, The Golden West, Lights of Asia, The Pacific Group, and Great Britain and Two Islands. Written and illustrated by Donald Maxwell, an English writer and illustrator, still notable for his topographical paintings.
