The first edition, first impression of this very scarce work.

The work of Canadian-American historical, adventure fantasy, science fiction, crime and Western writer Henry Bedford-Jones, who wrote nearly 200 novels, 400 novelettes, and 800 short stories, earning the nickname "King of the Pulps".

This novel features recurring character 'The Shadow', who is described in one book as 'strange, strong man, a man of evil destiny - who dwelt in that land of romance and adventure, Lower California'.

Undated; dated 1924 via Jisc.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with back lightly age toned. Light handling marks to boards. Spotting to fore edge of text block. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, but with spotting to first and last few leaves.
