Written by Walter George Bell, a British writer and historian.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Minor fading to the spine with a small split in the cloth to the rear joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small pencil mark. Minor age toning to the endpapers. Previous owners' bookplates to the front pastedown and endpaper, and The Times Book Club label to the rear pastedown.
