What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

A facsimile printing of this work.

Handsomely bound in the publisher's quarter marbled cloth, with paper covered boards and a large spine label. With the very scarce original unclipped dust wrapper.

A charming guide to the notable ranks of British society, including the King, Lord Chancellor, Barrister at Law, and the Lord Mayor of London.

Illustrated with eight coloured plates and sixteen monochrome plates. With a loosely inserted duplicate of 'An Admiral' plate. Collated, complete.

This work's authorship, whilst largely attributed to English essayist and poet Charles Lamb, is not definitively confirmed.

Condition

In the original quarter marbled cloth, with paper covered boards. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with minor shelf wear. Dust wrapper is very smart, with minor sunning to the spine and handling marks to the wrap. With a couple minor closed tears. Internally, firmly bound. With offsetting to the endpapers and a small contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper, otherwise pages are bright and clean.
