A delightful collection of twelve songs for young children, set to music. With titles including: The Song of the Primrose Fairy, The Song of the Windflower Fairy, The Song of the Groundsel Fairy, The Song of the Daffodil Fairy, and The Song of the Lady's Smock Fairy. Written and illustrated by Cicely Mary Barker, an English artist and writer best known as the illustrator who created the famous Flower Fairies, in the shape of ethereal smiling children with butterfly wings. With music from Olive Linnell, an English musician. Dated from the Royal College of Music Library.
Condition
In the original quarter cloth binding with pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, sound with light wear and chipping to the extremities. The odd mark or spot to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Further spotting to the endpapers.
