An anthology of fourteen short stories from celebrated Georgian era writers, all of which had been previously published in periodicals.
Present here are tales from: Stacy Aumonier; J. D. Beresford; Algernon Blackwood; Phyllis Bottome; Ernest Bramah; A. E. Coppard; E. St. John Ervine; Cyril Falls; Aldous Huxley; Mrs. Belloc Lowndes; St. John Lucas; Denis Mackail; Orlo Williams; P.G. Wodehouse.
Tales include: 'The Purity of the Turf' by Wodehouse, 'The Gioconda Smile' by Huxley, and 'Tongues of Fire' by Blackwood.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Dust wrapper back strip significantly age toned. Rear wrap detached but present. Major loss to back strip head. Wraps bright. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
